Workshops
Practicing the craft of storytelling and making friends as we play.
Have a look at some of the workshops we run regularly.
beginner's course
We will take you on a joyful journey and plunge you into the basics of Storytelling. Because, telling a story is within the reach of everyone. And at the end of the day, you will have a great story to tell.
With two amazing locations: an ancient house in Oosterbeek and a modern storytelling studio in the heart of Den Haag each beginner's course is uniquely tailored to the group who participates. Groups are small, 3-6 people and the course is usually two days long.

Grandma's Kitchen Table
Gather 'round the table just like when you were a little bit younger! We bring a simple framework for telling stories and reliving memories while also practicing the craft of storytelling.
This is the newest in DISC's Workshop series, the child of a workshop Michael and Francine first hosted in a nursing home in 2025. Since then they've brought it to several more of Den Haag's elderly community and we featured in at the 2026 edition of Heel Den Haag Vertelt in the city library.

back to the climate future

How can we even tell stories about a better climate future when things feel so bleak most of the time?
In this workshop Connor will help you explore this feeling using art, games, and body practices. Along the way we will slowly begin to chip away at the shields we put up around our own climate trauma.
As the walls fall down we will pick up the pieces and construct our own stories to help ourselves and our communities make sense of what a better future means to us.
non-linear storytelling
Part workshop, part game, all strange stories! In this afternoon we will explore what happens when the shapes of stories start to get interesting: spirals, frames, trees, and mountains.
We will use a map that is equal parts metaphorical and literal to help us navigate the non-linear storytelling space. This interactive workshop is never the same twice because the participants become players in a race to learn as much as we can before the time runs out!

Custom Workshops Available
Of course this is far from all the workshops we've hosted! If you'd like us to bring the art, science, and craft of storytelling to your school, company, or community just reach out to one of us:
Connor has hosted a number of storytelling workshops with scientists, university students, and big thinkers. He is especially keen to work with NGOs, B-Corps, and community-based organisations whenever possible!
Michael & Francine will write their pieces soon!
