The perfect home
For the past several years we at DISC have been lucky enough to share stories in the most amazing of places! The Spinozahof Community Garden is a story in itself: once an empty lot destined to be high-density housing, the persistence and hard work of the local community transformed it over the course of several years into a rich a beautiful garden complete with it's own toilet, greenhouse, and pizza oven!
Every second Saturday of the month we gather here (except when we don't...more on that down below) to share stories, smiles, and delicious homemade soup.
If you're a seasoned storyteller or wanting to step onto the stage for the first time we've got a spot for you! And of course if you'd rather just come and listen, get yourself a ticket, we'd love to have you and your friends join us.
Summers We Out and About
In the summer we like to be on the move, sharing stories in new and exciting places. Think in a special park, along hidden side streets, or even on a boat! Summer is a special time for the DISC team to stretch our legs and ourselves as we try out new ways and places to tell stories.

If there's one thing we love to do, it's walk into a new place and help transform it into a space full of stories. Over the years we've hosted storytelling cafés in restaurants, parks, theatrés, consultancies, and NGOs. Just this year we've hosted storytelling events for the Justice & Peace Move 4 Human Rights campaign and The Hague's annual Heel Den Haag Vertelt storytelling festival. Perhaps you know of the next place in need of a storytelling morning, afternoon, evening, or night!

If you've never been to one of our cafés before we'd recommend you come and listen first if you can. Not only will this give you a chance to get the lay of the land and a feeling for how we run our cafés, but you will also get to meet at least some of our team!
