Each year our friends and Storytelling colleagues Hermine van Helden and Janneke Tanja, from De Verhalenfontein, organise the Mythical Marathon; a fantastic day on which a group of storytellers tell a whole mythology to eachother. It is such a joy to be surrounded by these old stories the whole day through and live with the gods and heroes for a while.

This year’s theme will be ‘Stories from the Kalevala’ and Francine and Michael will be just two of the up to thirty tellers on this delightful journey.

It is not a public event but we will keep you updated on our exciting experience through our newsletter and live when we meet at our community events.
