A modern-day well-side chat, open-mic stage, and storytelling community space is coming soon to the Open Amare in May 11!
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our open mic stage of storytelling, a place where we can gather and celebrate everyone's unique talent for storytelling.
DISC "Unlimited" aims to provide a safe and inclusive space for expression and connection through through the art of storytelling. We firmly believe in the power of storytelling to bring people together, and can't wait to see what amazing tales will be told on our stage.
Our open mic stage is open to anyone with a story to tell, regardless of the background or experience. We welcome stories of all genres and styles: from personal anecdotes to fictional tales, to songs, dance, poetry, or any other way you want to tell your story. The only limit at DISC Unlimited is the time in the spotlight!
In the run-up to each show there will be a pre-event workshop, which is a great place to stretch those storytelling muscles, meet new people, and have a little bit of fun along the way. After each show we will be bringing a splash of Artificial Intelligence to our storytelling world, continuing our experiments intergrating the newest technologies with the oldest of human traditions.
This is just the another step on our journey towards creating a vibrant and inclusive cultural hub that celebrates the power of storytelling in The Hague. Our Guiding Principles
Open for All
We are keen to explore the hidden talent in The Hague and its surroundings and to give space to those stories to be shared with an audience. We are calling on all of you unique beings who have a story worth telling, which we believe is everyone.
Our pre-event workshops are great ways to explore different elements of storytelling! If you're a beginner looking to get their feet wet, or an expert brushing up on your skills, like our stage they are open to all.
Storytellers in All Genres
Storytelling nowadays refers to a wide array o forms. Are you a storyteller, poet, or wordsmith and would like to tell a story? A musician, dancer, poet, or artist in another form, who knows how to tell a story in your unique way?
All of you are more than welcome! The only limit at DISC "Unlimited" is the time to share 8 minutes.

In Japanese culture, there's a beautiful concept called 井戸端会議 (Idobata Kaigi), which translates to "well-side chat."; a time when communities gathered around wells to share stories, exchange ideas, and strengthen bonds.
DISC Unlimited is our modern-day wellside gathering, where individuals from all walks of life come together to share their narratives, creating a deep well of shared experiences.
