World Storytelling Day is a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling. It is celebrated every year on the 1st day of Spring, March 20. On this day, as many people as possible tell, share and listen to stories in as many languages and at as many places as possible, everywhere around the world.

Each year there is a specific theme. In 2018 it is "Wise Fools".

At "DISC" we:

- or get together and share (short) stories in the tradition of The International School of Storytelling (UK). Participants tell each other about their lives, their dreams and their fantasies in order to share stories and inspiration, to learn from each other and create a transglobal community.

- and/or do a Storytelling Activity like a course, city walk, seminar or special performance.

Our different cultures might bring us the richness of stories, but the simple fact that we are all just human makes us connect.

This year's 2018 activities:

Francine will tell Jewish Stories at the Delft Synagoge

Terra will give a "Wise Fools" City Walk in the historic centre of The Hague

Michael will do the walk too and will tell "Wise & Foolish" stories at the Gevangenpoort in The Hague
