DISCxTALK - ‘Storytelling and the Brain’ by Connor McMullen
Sunday May 31st at 14h – 15h30 online via ZOOM
What happens to our minds when we are transported into the wonderful world of stories? Our mind goes on a uniquely transportive journey, an out-of-body experience fuelled by a cocktail of brain chemicals and governed by social structures. Understanding this process can help us be better storytellers and just maybe, help us understand a little better the purpose of our most meaningful stories.
Connor McMullen will give a talk on how stories work on the brain and how we can work with our brain, through the Craft of Storytelling. This informative and educational online meeting really helps you understand how story and brain work best together.
Connor McMullen is a freelance storyteller based in Den Haag. He graduated cum lade from TU Delft’s Engineering and Policy Analysis Master's program, where he specialised in the role of storytelling and mythology in policy communication. He volunteers as a writer for the NGO Justice & Peace and wrote the recently released short documentary Solotvyno.
